SUPERMEGAPOWERMAIL

I returned home from work today to a boot-filling of tasty suprises cushioned in a bubble-wrap jiffy bag! Courtesy of the ever so lovely Jodie Curley I am now the proud owner of some oversized sunglasses (ideal for our upcoming holiday if I do say so myself..), some fetching toy story stickers (one of which is currently residing on my phone), some Cath Kidson tissues that are WAY too pretty to ever wipe my snot on, some Fanta lipbalm (the most amaing invention ever, words cannot describe the wonder), the jazziest keyring ever, some 'baby pets' with bobble heads (I do love bobble heads..) and a top-notch piece of Hannah Montana merch.. YESSAAA
I love post, it's the future.

Posters - Start as you mean to go on.

I bought these posters on Ebay to jazz up my overly bare wall. Since I'm inbetween cameras at the moment I had to scam these photos from the auction pages and they don't really do them justice - they're not that glossy in real life. I'm going for a vintage theme. I love art deco pieces, I think the styling is beautiful and HELLO ABSYNTHE POSTER - perfect combination! I'm alo a sucker for a good superhero - hey presto spidey warranted a spot on my wall!

I'm still on the look out for some more as I've got quite a bit of room to fill...

My New Room

In halls my walls were plastered with so many different art wrapping papers (hello Paperchase!). In this house however I cut back on the block colours and added a sprinkling of fashion photography. Only problem is I can't quite reach the ceiling....
I'm investing in some epic posters for my other wall, it's looking a tad bare.

My Old Cork Board

Well it wasn't technically a cork board but an upholstered piece of plywood was the best you could hope for at Liberty Park.
These photos were taken about three months before I moved out, my random objects of interest eventually spilled out onto the surrounding wall. It took me about 2 hours to take it all down when I had to pack my belongings away and I've kept everything in together in am art decor gift bag. I'll never use them for anything and it's not like people are going to be compelled to rifle through it, but I'm a creative person - CREATIVE PEOPLE HOARD.

My Virtual Cork Board

I was greeted with the amazingly inconvenient news at work on Friday that all of the people on student contracts (yours truly included) have gone from being able to work 35 hours a week to about err.. zero.. for the foreseeable future. GET. IN. Which, not only leaves me ultimately poor but I also find myself with a bit too much spare time on my hands. Spare time that cannot justifiably be spent lounging infront of the plasma! So in an attempt to sculpt my days into a productive summer I thought I'd start things off simple with a jazzy little blog.
