D&AD - Development

Anti-Design sought to harness the social and cultural potential of design rather than embrace style as a means of increasing sales.

D&AD wants something they can reproduce, in effect something that they can sell to everyone else (sell in the sense of justifying acknowledgement, recognition or merit). Anti-design would be something that could only be fully appreciated through the original entry - photographs, prints etc would reproduce it but never truly capture it.
